Before we start seeing homes, we'll want to talk through the home buying process. This is where we get into the details of your ideal home, as well as how the house-hunting process works and the importance of knowing your budget.  We'll cover style, location, and any features that are a must for you.

Meet with a mortgage lender

Before diving into house hunting, it's smart to meet with a mortgage professional. Think of this as your "get prepared" phase. You'll discuss mortgage options and determine your budget. Don't forget to ask for a pre-approval letter – it's your key to knowing how much home you can afford and we will need to present that when you are ready to write an offer.

You’ll be putting down your earnest money, which is an upfront show of good faith that you’re serious about this purchase. Next up, we’ve got a window of time, already agreed upon in our contract, to get all our inspections sorted.
